Malta- part 3

I really liked this little lovebird.  I wish I could have taken him home!

very typical Malta scene

Look what happens to go by- a cruise boat!

Pops with pastizzi and coffee.  Two things he really enjoys!

At our apartment- dining room.

Lots of fun hats to see.

And buy.

While walking, the President's car goes by.  Guess he's heading home for the day.

Malta- Part 2: Valetta

Valetta, here we come!

Outside cafes were common.

We saw beautiful limestone buildings everywhere.  The architecture was incredible.  History was alive everywhere.

Maggie found a special someone.

We were completely exhausted trying to keep up with Pops and his energy.    So, we found a place to rest.

Underground tunnel leading to the Malta Experience- an imax type show explaining the history of Malta.

Lots to take in.

Malta-Part 1

Here we are in Malta!

These are children's bathing pools on the shore.  They were cut out of the rock.

pastizzia- the main food we ate while in Malta.

Pops was so generous!   Always making sure we were well fed.

The pastizzi were on the bottom left.  Each of us would often eat 2,   leaving little left on his shelf.  Either we made him very happy or...not.

Each of these amazing delicacies cost 30 cents each!  Prices were great compared to Ireland.

Soda and pastizzi compliments of Pops.  He made his grandchildren very very happy!!

I like this picture of Wolf and I.  Valetta, the capital of Malta, was in the background.

Off to Valetta.

Sebi and Beth on the boat.

Malta- arrival day!

We met Wolf's dad (Pops) at the airport in Dublin, Ireland.

Pops bought us ALL sodas!

On the plane and ready to go!

Pops got a seat beside Hadassah and I.

Flying over France- amazing view of the mountains.

On arrival, we waited for the bus to take us to our apartment.

Rani's visit

This was a special week for the girls, and me!  Almost everyday there was an activity planned.  We kept very busy and had a great time!  I didn't get pictures every day, but thankfully, a few.  Here's some:

  First day together.

They took lots of group shots.

Up in the mountains.

Enjoying the country

Lambing Time!

Random pictures at lambing time in Ireland.  After seeing field after field of these adorable fellows, we got permission from the farmer to go into his field and hold one of them.  Sebi caught this cute lamb for us and then we each took a turn squeezing its cuteness!
